The Children’s Society’s shop in Southwater, Horsham, will be putting on a family day next month with fete games for children, tombolas, cakes, and the chance to find a bargain among the shop’s hundreds of items for sale.

The birthday bash will take place at the shop, in Lintot Square, on Saturday June 20 between 10am and 4pm.

Russell Wilmott, the shop’s manager, said: “It’s been a fantastic year for The Children’s Society in Southwater and we thought we’d hold an event to say thanks to our many loyal customers. We’d also like to encourage anyone who hasn’t yet visited to come and get involved and have a browse.”

The shop is on the look-out for volunteers and welcomes donations of second-hand items from the local community. Money raised from shop sales helps fund The Children’s Society’s work providing services for vulnerable children and teenagers and campaigning against child poverty and neglect.
