THE success of a lunch club for older people has led to calls for more of the same.
As a result, the Dingemans Centre in Steyning is launching a new Saturday Brunch Club in the new year.
Donna Bailey, older people’s service manager for Sussex charity Impact Initiatives, said: “Due to the huge success of our Sunday Lunch Club, which Impact Initiatives set up last year at the Dingemans Centre, our customers have now asked us to set up an additional lunch club.”
The Saturday Brunch Club will launch on Saturday, January 3, when a two-course lunch will be available for £6, to include a cup of tea or coffee.
Donna added: “All the food is freshly cooked on the premises by our fabulous chef Steve and served in a relaxed and welcoming environment.”
The Saturday Brunch Club will be open each week from 11am to 2pm and anyone aged 55 or over is welcome to attend.
To book a place, call Julian McDowell at the Dingemans Centre on 01903 879297, email Julian.mcDowell@impact-initiatives.org.uk or visit www.impact-initiatives.org.uk for further information.
The Dingemans Centre, in Shooting Field, provides a range of activities and services, designed to keep both minds and bodies active, for people aged 55-plus. As well as the lunch clubs, the centre is open every Tuesday and Wednesday.
