The big hit song Harvest for the World might not be on the playlist, but Sunday’s musical festival in Haywards Heath will have a serious side as the town lets its hair down.

Show organisers It’s Magic invited the town’s food bank to be part of the Making Waves on Broadway during the show, which runs from 11am to 10pm. Music lovers having a good time are invited to give food to the charity.

The food they give out is non-perishable and the organisation says the following foods are currently in short supply; biscuits (300g), cereal (500g), coffee, tinned fish, mashed potatoes, tinned meat, pasta (500g), rice pudding, sauces, sponge puddings and tinned tomatoes. Show organiser Tim French said: “This is very much a community event so it will be amazing to be able to help others less fortunate than ourselves’.”
