Music can be the food of loveat Hayward Heath’s big show

Show organisers It’s Magic invited the town’s food bank to be part of the Making Waves on Broadway during the show, which runs from 11am to 10pm. Music lovers having a good time are invited to give food to the charity.

The food they give out is non-perishable and the organisation says the following foods are currently in short supply; biscuits (300g), cereal (500g), coffee, tinned fish, mashed potatoes, tinned meat, pasta (500g), rice pudding, sauces, sponge puddings and tinned tomatoes. Show organiser Tim French said: “This is very much a community event so it will be amazing to be able to help others less fortunate than ourselves’.”

The Haywards Heath Foodbank has been open for nearly 18 months and has given more than 6.5 tonnes of food to more than 1,300 local people who have been in an emergency or crisis situation. £7 tickets (£12 on the day) for event are available from www.itsmagic.org.uk or in person from Baldwins South Road or Broadbridges in Sussex Road.
