Moonlight Walk for St Wilfrid's Hospice

Walkers will be taking part in the annual Moonlight Walk in support of St Wilfrid's Hospice in May.

The walk takes place on Saturday, May 7 at 10pm with the option of either a five or ten mile route around the city of Chichester.

Starting and ending at the Westgate Leisure Centre, the route guides walkers through the cobbled streets, along the Roman Walls, and into Bishop’s Palace Garden, which is not normally open to the public after dark.

Participants choose to walk with friends or family to remember loved ones, or just to contribute towards a good cause.

A grand total of £69,500 was raised at last year’s Moonlight Walk, and the Fundraising Team at St Wilfrid’s are hoping to exceed this amount in 2016.

The Observer will be running a list of the people taking part and a picture spread on the Thursday following the race.
