Irene Clark, 72, of Central Avenue, in Findon Valley, relied on two sticks to walk, had blurred vision and trouble speaking until she woke one morning ‘as if from a dream’ and found her recovery had made lots of progress.

Irene said: “It was a miracle. I woke up in the morning and I could see everything all in one go. I couldn’t get downstairs fast enough, it was really wonderful.

“I’m excited and well for the first time in a long time. Everything is clear, it’s as if I woke up from a dream.”

Irene said her speech also became clearer and she only needed one stick to aid her with her movement instead of two.
