An update on the Midhurst Market Square Enhancement Scheme is on the agenda for this month’s meeting of the North Chichester County Local Committee.
The committee meets on Tuesday September 25, at 7pm, at Lodsworth Village Hall, Heath End Lane, Lodsworth, GU28 9BY.
The aim of the Midhurst scheme is to enhance and rejuvenate Church Hill and Market Square for pedestrians, residents and businesses.
It will also provide a space for holding community events and farmers markets.
Chairman Michael Brown said: “There have been delays to the start of work on this scheme, which is now scheduled to begin in February next year. This follows the planning application process through the South Downs National Park, which added to the timescales needed to develop the design.
“A lot of work has taken place between many parties to develop this scheme so it meets all needs, and it is a real example of partnership working in the community.”
Members will also consider the latest round of grant applications to the Community Initiative Fund, and will hold the regular ‘talk with us’ session, where residents can raise any local issues or concerns.
