Memorial garden at Worthing school helps students

LUCY’S Garden at Chatsmore Catholic High School in Worthing is growing well.

The memorial garden was planted in September 2013 in memory of student Lucy Goulding.

The most recent addition is a large sun shade in Lucy’s favourite colour, orange, and a herb garden.

Dr Paul Baglin from Shade Plus, Dundee, donated the shade and travelled from Scotland to install it, having been approached by John Massie from Direct Blinds.

The herb garden was created with the help of the school’s catering provider, Caterlink, which donated all the compost and herbs.

Kitchen staff will use the herbs in their meals for the students and the plants will also be used by students studying food technology and catering.
