Nine-year-old Max Fitzsimmons from Horsham won the chance to play on Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium pitch on Sunday 4 May, moments after the Gunners’ final home match of the season – a 1-0 victory over West Brom - had ended.
Max was one of 30 members of the club’s young supporter scheme the Junior Gunners, to win tickets to the match and the chance to play on the hallowed turf.
With Arsenal’s star names still on the pitch, completing a lap of honour for the supporters, the 30 Junior Gunners enjoyed a 30-minute football session.The event celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Club’s Junior Gunner scheme.
