The bulb-planting is being organised by the Friends of Horsham Park who are urging the public to join in.

The bulbs - February Glory daffodils - are being planted on a bank facing the park pond by North Parade car park.

Friends chairman Sally Sanderson said: “We are delighted to have been given the bulbs by Horsham District Council parks and countryside team.

“We will be planting on four mornings from 10am-12 noon on Wednesdays 17 and 24 October, and Sundays 21 and 28 October.

“Everyone is welcome to join us. No experience is necessary – and we can provide equipment, but if you have gardening gloves and a border fork please bring them with you.

“We will meet at the bank by the monkey puzzle trees next to North Parade car park. You’ll see us wearing our new volunteer vests.”
