Richard Collyer masons donated a cheque for £700 to Horsham-based Action Medical Research following their very successful Christmas lunch.
Katia King received the cheque from Richard Beckwith and Pete Hansen on the steps of their headquarters in North Parade, Horsham. (Richard isn’t really that tall, he’s standing on a step!)
Richard Collyer are a dedicated group of masons who have raised over £20,000 for charities over the last five years including local charities such as Horsham and Southwater First Responders, Horsham Lifesavers Club, Desmond Anderson Autism unit, Springboard, QE2 Centre and National Charities including St John Ambulance, Haiti Earthquake appeal and Arthritis Research to name but a few.
Richard Collyer Lodge secretary Pete Hansen said: “We decided to support Action Medical Research on this occasion as they are a local based charity that help save and change children’s lives through funding research.
“They were the first to introduce the polio vaccine in the UK, they developed the use of ultrasound technology in pregnancy and many other incredible breakthroughs.
