Crawley is getting ready for its second St George’s Day Parade on Sunday (April 21) - and, with the Met Office forecasting a sunny day, it should make for a great day out.

Anyone who would like to get into the spirit of things is invited to drop in at Crawley Library on Saturday between 10.30am and 2.30pm to make a shaker, dragon mask or shield of St George.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and anyone wishing to make a shaker should bring a small empty bottle with a lid. Mask and shaker makers will be invited to join the parade itself on Sunday.

On the day itself, there will be a Punch & Judy show in Queens Square at 10.30am and Morris dancing outside County Mall before the parade sets off at 11am.

The parade will make its way round the town centre before finishing at the bandstand in Queens Square where there will be music and dance performances.

A Scouts church parade will start at 3pm.
