Organisers of the MADhurst festival 2015 have thanked everyone for making this year’s event bigger and better than ever.
Alison Procter from the MADhurst committee said: “We extend a big thank you to all our sponsors, supporters, collaborators, helpers and the local population have all supported this year’s annual event and added to the general feeling of goodwill and enjoyment.”
The winners of the MADhurst short story competition 2015 were: children’s competition, best short story: A Fight for Freedom by Steffi Mathias; runner-up: Not Just a Nightmare by Serena Davidson; good effort: Exalavantius by Stuart Davidson; young persons’ competition: best short story: The Wild North by Bethany Procter; runner up: Wild by Laura Eisenhower; good effort: The Dive by Danielle Morley. Adult Competition, best short story: Dingo by John Conner; runner up: City Crow by Alex O’Grady; good effort: Transportation by Dr Andrew Guyatt.
Best Overall Story 2015: The Wild North by Bethany Procter.
