CLIMATE change and hope for the future will be explored in the next Cuthman Lecture.
The Rev Alex Mabbs, from Brighthelm United Reformed Church in Brighton, will be speaking on Faith in a Changing Climate, ‘looking for treasure in the driftwood near a rising sea’.
The lecture, part of a series held in Steyning three times a year, will be on Wednesday, October 22, at 7.30pm, in the Penfold Hall, Church Street.
Co-ordinator Christine Aubrey said: “Climate change is a fact that few now deny. It is perhaps the greatest challenge that humanity faces.
“The world is changing, but how do we change creatively with it to find a new way of living that enables all life to flourish?
“In his lecture, Alex Mabbs will examine the moral dimension of climate change, not so much to lay blame as to look for hope, with particular reference to the Christian tradition.”
Mr Mabbs has been a minister since 1995 and came to Brighthelm in January. He enjoys gardening and music.
