Adur East Lions Club was delighted to be involved in an It’s a Knockout event.
All the Lions clubs in the area from Shoreham in the west to Seaford in the east and up to Lewes worked together on the event at Longhill Sports Centre, Rottingdean.
It was provided for teams of adults with learning and physical difficulties and the organisers, from Zone 2A Lions Clubs, were delighted to welcome six groups for a day of fun and games.
Susan Saunders, publicity and membership officer for Adur East Lions, which covers Shoreham and Southwick, said: “Some teams have come year on year and it is an eagerly-awaited highlight in the calendar, whereas two teams attended for the very first time.
“As the event is held on the ground floor of the sports centre, wheelchair users can be accommodated.
“Brighton and Hove’s mayor, councillor Pete West, attended during the afternoon and took part in one of the games as well as presenting the prizes.
“A good time was had by all.”
