“This show just gets better and better” was one of the many comments made by visitors to Cowfold Horticultural Society’s Summer Show held on Saturday as part of Cowfold Festival.

With over 350 high quality entries from almost 100 adults and children, the marquee was filled with the scent of flowers and foliage, tasty looking vegetables, scrumptious entries in the cookery classes, innovative handicrafts, floral art and some stunning photography, as well as delightful entries in the children’s classes which included handprint butterflies and puppets made from socks.

The classes were well supported by both regular and very welcome new competitors who all help to keep this important part of Cowfold’s heritage alive.

The hire of the marquee was made possible thanks to generous sponsorship from Crocus Wealth Chartered Financial Planners, Cowfold Fete Committee and members of Cowfold Horticultural Society and we are very grateful for their support.

The judges carefully considered the quality of the exhibits before awarding the prizes and cups which were handed out by the Society’s President, Peter Crane.
