Engineers will be working in Balcombe Road at its junction with Station Road and Smallfield Road.

SG says: “To keep everyone safe around our work area, we need to temporarily close both Station Road and Smallfield Road to motorists at this junction.

“Traffic will be unable to enter or exit these junctions onto Balcombe Road for the duration of our maintenance project.

“Signed diversions will be in place for motorists. Motorists travelling along Smallfield Road into Horley will be diverted via Redehall Lane and the B2037 Antlands Lane before joining Balcombe Road. Access to Station Road will be maintained via Victoria Road.

“Pedestrian access will be maintained on all roads throughout our work.

“Where possible, we’ll be working between 7am and 7pm on weekdays to complete our work as quickly and safely as possible.”

Thames Water will also be carrying out work at this junction during the gas work to avoid further disruption to the area.

“All being well, we expect to complete our work and be able to reopen Station Road and Smallfield Road at this junction before Christmas.”
