OVER the years, teachers have had to learn what is known as safe dance practice, becoming aware of the anatomical implications of the dance they teach. In that respect, things have become much more scientific.

But underlying it all, one thing has remained the same- and that's the great artistry of dance, something which burns as brightly now as it ever did. And that is why Drusilla Duffil Theatre School is in fine form as it celebrates its golden jubilee.

Celebrating half a century of teaching dance in Mid Sussesx, the Drusilla Dufill Theatre Theatre School marks its 50th anniversary with a performance featuring all current dance students, aged three to 19, at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley.

There will be three performances over the weekend of July 7 and 8 plus a reunion of past students from all the five decades the school has been running.
