Staff from Littlehampton care home Oakland Grange went a step further than usual for elderly people with dementia.

Care co-ordinator Naomi Roberts led a team from the St Flora’s Road home in a Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Zoe Page, HR manager for the Oakland Care Group, said: “Oakland Grange Care Home provides care for elderly people including some with mild dementia, which is so common these days.

“This was a chance for our staff to get together, and join thousands of others across the UK, all walking with one common goal, a world without dementia.”

They raised about £1,000 in total, which will help to fund the delivery of universal services, as well as research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia.
