Harting Horticultural Society Spring Show

A lovely array of flowers and flower arrangements were displayed at Harting Horticultural Society's Spring Show on Saturday.

Members had struggled with long wet weather in the build up but on the day of the show, it was a beautiful bright sunny afternoon.

Show secretary Cynthia Clue said: “There was an increase in photographic exhibits, which gave a lot of extra interest for visitors.

“The cookery class was well represented, tempting the taste buds, as did the homemade cakes on sale.”

Congratulations went to the following cup winners:-

Reg Budd Memorial Cup for best flower exhibit, Pru Barlow; The Lady Wallace Challenge Cup for Narcissi, Sue Wright; Charles Cooper Challenge Cup for Spring Flowers, Ann Sladden; The President’s Cup for cookery, photography and flower arranging, Jane Healey; Mrs Champneys Burnham Cup for Children, Sam Wyatt; The Mrs Jean Bird Spring Cup for Children, Anna Wyatt.

First prize winners were:-
