Shaun Daniels and Mike Petretta, owners of Piccola Italia, in South Farm Road, and Michelle MacMillan owner of Fleur’s Beauty Room, of Marlowe Road, Worthing, are hosting separate events to raise money for Lucia’s Foundation, which was set up following Lucy’s death.

Shaun and Mike organise three or four Italian fiesta evenings every year with their next event being held in Chatsmore High School on October 12.

Shaun said: “Our deli here is part of the community, everyone knew Lucy and her family.”

He said the deli will provide anti-pasti, a pasta main course and desert with an espresso coffee.

Lucy’s mum, Antonella Goulding said: “Lucy attended the last two events they have. I thought it was so sweet of them as she was very popular in the Italian community.”

She said she wanted to thank the organisers, those attending, head teacher at Chatsmore Mr Madden and Martin Kovic from RGD printing for all the posters he had made.

The evening is a ticket only affair, which can be purchased from the deli, priced £7.

Michelle is holding a coffee and cake afternoon in Broadwater Baptist Church on Saturday October 5.

There will also be face painting and tattoos for children and a raffle.
