A disability social club in Crawley is putting on a fun-packed event to raise cash for a ‘vital’ minibus.
Gravity, a social club for young adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health dificulties, needs the minibus for ‘vital transportation’ each week and to take its members out.
Club member Mo Hussain said: “We really need the support of the community and local businesses to raise money for this minibus.
“The aim is to provide these young adults with the opportunity to learn about transport training and most importantly by providing a pick up and drop off service to make it possible for them to attend each week.”
The fundraising event is taking place on Saturday July 15, at the Dormans Youth Arts Centre, from 12pm until 6pm.
Guests can enjoy live music, a dj, bouncy castle, bbq and face painting.
The registered charity is run by volunteers and provides a fun and safe place for people with additional needs to socialise each week.
It was awarded Best Volunteer Group at the Crawley Community Awards in March this year.
