The homes are planned to include nine ‘affordable’ units, in a range of two-storey buildings comprising detached, link-detached and semi-detached houses and flats together with garage and surface car parking.

A new pedestrian and vehicle access point is porposed off Stopham Road, the incorporation of private and communal amenity space, planting and landscaping, along with the formation of a 106 space station car park together with a range of offsite highway improvements along Stopham Road.

The proposals were turned down last November when councillors said they felt that the plans would set a dangerous precedent to go against their almost adopted district-wide planning framework.
