THE Foster Care Agency, an independent fostering agency based in Shoreham, is supporting a national campaign to raise awareness of the need for more foster carers.
To show its support for Fostering February, the agency will be taking part in a roadshow in Brighton on Thursday, February 19.
The month-long campaign is designed to dispel some of the myths that surround fostering and help people understand more about what is involved, while highlighting the need for more foster carers.
The agency is also holding two open days at Unit 6, Riverside Business Centre, Brighton Road, Shoreham, for those interested in fostering across Sussex.
Rebecca Elsip, carer recruitment officer, said people will be able to go and meet the team on Wednesday, February 25, and Wednesday, March 4, from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
The Foster Care Agency, which was established in 2001, has looked after many hundreds of children and young people placed with foster parents across Sussex and south east London.
