Firefighters were called to rescue a two-year-old boy who was locked in a car today (September 27).

A Crawley fire crew attended the incident at the Pound Hill Community Centre, in Worth Road, at 10.15am.

The boy had locked the doors after his mother left the car, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.

A mechanic was called to open the door using special tools.
