Family fun in Aldwick for St George's Day

Fun and games for all the family were on offer at Aldwick Royal British Legion to celebrate St George's Day on Saturday.

Children’s entertainer Marky Wild provided lots of magical fun for the youngsters and the creative face painting was also a big hit.

There were stalls and outdoor games plus music and a barbecue during the afternoon.

Peter Farrell took along some wartime memorabilia and talked to children about the equipment.

Dancing and music continued into the evening and there was also bingo at the headquarters in Hewarts Lane.

Club secretary Chris Dowling said: “There was lots going on. Our aim was not only to celebrate St George’s Day but also to raise the profile of the Royal British Legion in the area.”

The club thanked everyone who went along to support the St George’s Day Family Fun Day.
