Proposals for exploratory drilling between Kirdford and Wisborough Green will be debated by West Sussex County Council’s Planning Committee tomorrow (Tuesday July 22).
Earlier today (Monday July 21) it was announced that Celtique Energie’s application for a temporary well on land near Northup Copse south of Kirdford Road to look for oil and gas had been deferred to allow officers to look at additional information supplied by the firm.
This was after WSCC’s planning officers recommended that the proposal be refused, and Celtique requested its application be deferred to discuss officers’ objections.
But it has now been announced by the county council that members of the Planning Committee will debate plans at Horsham’s County Hall North tomorrow, starting at 10.30am.
Members will decide whether to approve, reject, or defer plans.
The meeting will also be webcast on the county council’s website.
For a full report of the meeting see this Thursday’s West Sussex County Times.
