Apparently there is huge concern in government circles about the amount of methane that cows are producing, and the impact it is having on the greenhouse effect and the environment.
They have discounted of course the amount of hot air that politicians are responsible for.
The methane referred to was delicately referred to on the radio as that which cows 'burped'. No official worries about the methane that is produced from their other end. Botty burps as my granddaughter is proud to refer to them.
Scientist are looking to control cow's methane by additives. Charcoal I expect. Will it turn the milk a funny colour?
