The plans for Kingslea Farm, Marringdean Road, include 38 affordable homes, mostly two bedroom, and 69 market priced homes, mostly three or four bedroom, and 251 parking spaces.

Horsham District Council has received 20 letters objecting to the scheme.

Writers say the area is already overdeveloped, with literally hundreds of homes having been built nearby in the last few years.

Several letters refer to a flooding problem at the junction where Marringdean Road meets Natts Lane and Lower Station Road, which could get worse with development in Daux Wood.

Others say many new houses have already been built around Billingshurst, without the area being given better facilities or infrastructure to support the new homes.
