It must be spring despite the weather- Mrs Down's Diary

A yard full of very smug hoggs is peering out at the snowflakes while their relatives are all weathering the blizzards in the fields.

Just when you think it is spring, and after virtually zilch snow all winter, the skies darken and snow begins to fall. I had to pinch myself to check we were not still not in snowy Spain.

These hoggs are last year's lambs. They were not doing at all well out in the fields and as we shall soon be lambing this year's crop, John has decided to bring the hoggs inside to fatten them up for market and hopefully have them away, before their siblings arrive.
