The Ceres Health Food shop, on Goring Road, teamed up with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, A. Vogel herbal remedies, and Elm Grove School to hold an awareness day for the falling bumblebee population.

Simon Boyd, owner of Ceres Health Food Store, said: “I think it developed awareness and went really well.

“In terms of survival of the human race, if there were no bees pollinating, the eco-system would collapse.”
