Emergency gas repairs have closed a lane on a busy Horsham town centre road.

Albion Way has had one lane closed for more than a week causing queuing traffic and delays to journeys through the town centre.

Waseem Hanif, spokesman for gas distribution company SGN, said: “We’re carrying out emergency repairs to our gas network in Albion Way.

“Our engineers have made excellent progress and repairs to our gas main have been completed.”

The traffic disruption the works have caused is set to end later today.

The spokesman added: “We’re now in the process of restoring the road surface and hope to remove all our traffic management before peak time today.”
