Taster sessions for learning new skills in Midhurst

Fun adult learning taster sessions and an art exhibition are being held in Midhurst next month.

The event has been organised by the West Sussex Adult and Community Learning Service, to celebrate the launch of the new adult learning programme of courses for the coming year.

It takes place on Wednesday July 4, from 2.30pm to 7pm, at Capron House, Midhurst Rother College, North Street, Midhurst.

Taster sessions available are:

3pm to 4pm: magpie jewellery, and drawing.

4.15pm to 5.15pm: cake decoration, and Photoshop Elements 9.

5.30pm to 6.30pm: hand bell ringing, washi art jewellery, and fused glass jewellery.

There will also be an exhibition of art by Midhurst adult learners.

West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Education and Schools Peter Griffiths said: “Adult learning offers something for everyone, whether it’s a new qualification or job skill, or something for your personal development.

“Why not take the time to find out more about what the service can offer you and take part in one or more of the free taster sessions?”
