Revamped Lancing Library to re-open

LANCING library is set to reopen next week after having new self-service machines installed.

The county council says readers can visit the branch, in Penstone Park, from 10am on Monday May 21.

The newly fitted systems help people borrow and return books themselves using the latest touch screen technology.

Lionel Barnard, West Sussex County Council Deputy Leader who oversees the Library Service, said: “Lancing is the latest branch in the county to get the state-of-the-art terminals.

“You can print off lists of your loaned books, check when something is due for return and even make any cash payments.

“Our staff will be close-by in case anyone needs help.”
