Dozens of hay bales catch fire in Slinfold
Firefighters battled a major fire in Slinfold today (Thursday August 29) as dozens of hay bales caught alight.
Seven emergency vehicles were sent to a barn in Hayes Lane just before 8am this morning.
Around 30 large bales were on fire inside an agricultural barn around 80m x 30m.
Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus as they controlled the fire.
The main barn was not affected by the blaze.
