Desperate search for '˜life-saving' dog
The dog - named Poppy - is a ‘medical assistance dog’ who has more than once saved the life of her diabetic owner Philippa Copleston-Warren by detecting a drop in Philippa’s blood sugar levels.
Little Poppy went missing at around 7.20 am yesterday morning (Monday) while she and Philippa were staying with friends at Baker’s Farm, Shipley, on the Knepp Estate.

Eight-year-old Poppy has helped care for Philippa since she was a puppy and now - without Poppy at her side - Philippa needs to always have someone with her because of her medical condition.
“Poppy was one of the first medical detection dogs,” said Philippa. “It’s tough without her. Everyone loves her. She’s almost human in her way of being.”
