Woman attacked by two men in Felpham

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an unprovoked attack on a 58-year-old woman in Felpham at the beginning of the week.

The victim was in Shirley Drive, close to the junction of Whitelands, at about 6.30pm on Monday (29 October) when she was approached by two men who asked if she had a bag.

When she said no, she was pushed to the ground and suffered bruising and grazing to her cheek bone, hand and knees.

The offenders then ran off.

A police spokesperson said: “The two men are described as being white, of medium build, approximately 5ft 10in tall and dark haired. The male that spoke is described as having a southern accent.

“This was a totally unorovoked attack on a woman as she went about her business and we’re keen to find the men responsible for injuring her as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 1401 of 29 October. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
