Two teenagers found on Hassocks school roof at night

Police arrested two 16-year-old boys after finding them on a school roof in Hassocks.

Officers were called to Hassocks Infant School on Chancellors Park, Hassocks, at around 11pm yesterday (Thursday August 23) after reports of someone on the roof.

The dog unit and police helicopter both worked with officers on the search and two boys were found.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue also attended to escort the boys safely from the school roof and then they were subsequently arrested.

One of the teenagers, who is from Hassocks, has been charged with trespass and will appear at Mid Sussex Youth court on September 11.

The other was given a repremand.
