Puppies stolen from farm

Police are investigating a burglary near Pulborough in which valuable puppies were stolen.

Some time between late Wednesday evening (August 29) and the following morning at 8am, a wooden garage on a property at a farm just off the A283 at Wiggonholt, near Pulborough, was entered, and 16 puppies were stolen.

They are three Cocker Spaniels, one Shihtzu, three Jack Russells, three Cavishons and six Lhasa Apsos, all aged about eight weeks and valued together at more than £6,000.

Seven younger puppies were not taken.

PC Matt Hollingdale said; “Anyone who was in the Wiggonholt area that night and who saw anything suspicious, or who becomes aware of puppies like this being offered for sale, is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0281 of 30/8.
