Police appeal over Crawley attack

TWO local men aged 24 and 25 were attacked by four men in the car park of the Ram Social Club, Ifield Avenue, Crawley on Monday February 20.

The offenders were sitting in a silver saloon car at around 10.30pm and on seeing the two men walk across the car park they got out of the car and attacked them. After several minutes the men got back into their car and drove off and the injured men alerted police.

An area search was conducted and four men aged, 25, 20, 19 and 18, were arrested a short time later and have been bailed untill March 22 and 23, pending further enquiries.

PC Maria Warren from Crawley Response investigation unit said: “One of the men received numerous cuts, bruises and lacerations to his body and had to be treated at a nearby medical centre.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the attack to please call 101 quoting serial 1651 of 20/2 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
