Between 3pm and 3.10pm the boy tried to get off the bus at the South Street stop but was forcibly restrained by the man.

PC David Slade, of the Durrington Neighbourhood Response Team, said: “This was a totally unacceptable assault on a child.

“If anyone has information about the incident or the pair’s identities, I’d ask them to contact police.”

Witnesses should email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 984 of 05/12.
