Police appeal after West Sussex power tools thefts

Police are asking anyone to come forward who has had power tools stolen from them from before the beginning of June.

Officers have recovered high value power tools which they believed were stolen when they stopped a car in Cuckfield in the early hours of June 2.

A number were identified and have been returned to their rightful owner.

Six power tools have not had their owners identified.

They are five Makita products, two drills, a cordless drill, a radio and a torch and one Paslode nail gun.

Anyone who had tools stolen around June 2 are asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 233 of 2/6.

Three men, a 37-year-old, a 58-year-old and a 36-year-old, have been arrested for handling stolen goods.

The 37-year-old has also been arrested for driving while disqualified and the 36-year-old has also been arrested for going equipped and possession of class B drugs.

They have been bailed until 13 September while investigations continue.
