Man taken to hospital after Crawley attack

Police were called to Broadfield Barton at 4.05pm on Wednesday (April 7) by paramedics who were treating the man following the assault, a spokesman said. The attack was reported to have happened around 3.50pm.

The spokesman added: “He was taken to hospital, but was discharged later that evening.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to report online or call 101 quoting serial 812 of 07/04.”

A 47-year-old man from Crawley was arrested in the town shortly after 6.30pm on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of cannabis, said police. He remained in custody at 10.45am on Thursday (April 8).
