Man assaulted and robbed in Worthing

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man in his 40s who was attacked in Ivy Arch Road, Worthing on Saturday, July 21.

The victim was walking home from a night out when the assault took place sometime between 3am and 5am.

The victim was left battered and bruised, and it is believed that he fell unconscious until he was found by passing paramedics.

He was treated at Worthing Hospital for his injuries but was discharged the same day.

During the unprovoked attack the offenders stole the man’s wallet and mobile phone.

Police believe that three men were involved in the attack but have no descriptions at this stage

Detective Constable Rachael Miles said; “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0329 of 21/7. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
