LONDON RIOTS UPDATE: Report suspicious activity

SUSSEX Police are urging residents to report anything suspicious even though rumours of more unrest have ‘significantly decreased’ today.

In the wake of violence and disorder the police have been in close contact with concerned locals via Twitter throughout the day.

They have given thanks to ‘level-headed reporting of the situation in Sussex and to the many voices of reason who have been helping to quash the rumours on social media’.

But Sussex Police say they ‘have been receiving lots of message from people who have seen officers out in their area and are pleased to get extra information online’.
