Court results - Horsham

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Joby Whitwell, 21, of Cousins Copse, The Haven, was jailed for 20 weeks. He had admitted failing to comply with a suspended sentence order for possessing a Stanley knife in a public place.

Albert Lyons, 78, of Guildford Road, Loxwood, was fined £600, with a £60 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. He had been found guilty on one count of killing a red stag and red hind deer during the close season, and one count of taking a red stag and red hind deer during the close season.

Gavin Collett, 32, of Bramber Road, Broadwater, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to taking a Suzuki GSX-R750 motorbike without the owner’s consent, in Crawley. He was also committed to crown court for sentencing after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified in Horsham, Worthing, and Brighton, driving without insurance, and two counts of failing to stop after an accident.

John Connors, 60, of Cricklade Road, Swindon, was fined £50, with £170 costs, a £20 victim surcharge and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Horsham, and at Dial Post.

Connor Warwick, 24, of Oatlands, Crawley, was fined £80, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis) at Faygate.

Neil Bandtock, 54, of Ocean Way, Southampton, was fined £600, with a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and five penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Georgina Cassidy, 30, of The Street, Blundeston, was fined £660, with a £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had been convicted in her absence of failing to identify a driver suspected of speeding at Dial Post.

Andrew Chase, 32, of Rusper Road, Crawley, was given an absolute discharge, with three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a red light at Buck Barn.

Graham Old, 41, of Hastings Road, Northampton, was fined £660, with a £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had been convicted in his absence of failing to identify a driver suspected of speeding at Dial Post.

Lucie Sherlock, 24, of Deer Way, Horsham, was fined £660, with a £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had been convicted in her absence of failing to identify a driver suspected of failing to comply with a red light at Buck Barn.

Jeremy Pain, 37, of Tollgate Road, Dorking, was fined £150, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Storrington.

Elizabeth Teale, 41, of Elder Way, Holmwood, was fined £220, with a £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had been convicted in her absence of speeding at Dial Post.
