Three search warrants were excuted at addresses in Bognor this morning (Thursday October 4) in a further bid to crack down on drug offences being committed in the town.
The operation was led by Arun district police and the addresses in central Bognor were targetted following information received about illegal activity.
Inspector Nick Bowman, from Arun’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We responded swiftly to information we received about criminal activity in our area by people who we believe are bringing their business of dealing illegal drugs to this district.
“Our message is clear - if you deal drugs in this area we will catch up with you, we will stop you and we will bring you to justice.
“We obviously need the full support of local residents to help us combat this criminality and we are very grateful to the community - including businesses - for their patience and understanding whilst officers completed their tasks today.
“Although no arrests have been made at this stage, police activity will continue and we’re confident that this will have sent out a clear message and disrupted any potential crime.”
Anyone with information about people bringing drugs to the area is asked to call police on 101, or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
