Asbestos dumped on farmland near Horsham overnight

An appeal for witnesses has gone out after a farmer in Coolham woke up one morning last week to discover asbestos dumped on their land.

Sussex Police say that this has resulted in a costly clear-up of the waste by specialist contractors.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Sussex Police quoting ref: 844 10/10/2018.

The police say that people should ensure that any contractors used to remove waste from premises are appropriately licensed to perform this task and are legitimately removing the waste to an authorised waste site.

If your waste is fly tipped you could end up with investigators on your doorstep.
