CONSULTATION forms on a proposed 20mph scheme for Worthing have been sent to residents.

Opinions are being sought in Worthing on whether introducing a 20mph speed limit for residential streets in the town should be implemented.

Councillors who form Worthing County Local Committee will consider the responses at the end of the process, with the deadline set at July 31.

Worthing County Local Committee chairman Paul High said the more responses that were received, the more informed the committee would be in making its decision.

He said: “We need as many people in Worthing to respond to these letters as we can get.

“We must decide if more time and money should be committed towards investigating a 20mph limit in greater detail.

“The greater the number of responses, the more informed we will be as a committee when we make the decision.”
