Christmas Carol Float route information

Chichester Lions Club launched its Christmas Carol Float on Friday at the Lodge Graylingwell.

President Richard Cowell welcomed Chichester deputy mayor Peter Evans and Father Christmas to an evening of carols led by the Chichester City Band.

While Santa was giving out toys to the children, Mr Cowell presented donations totalling £800 to Stonepillow, Augusta Court, Tozer House and Chichester Food Bank.

Last year, the carol float raised more than £6,500 for local charities.

This year, the static collections will be at Northgate car park on December 3 and 10, then Sainsbury’s on December 16.

The float will tour the streets of Chichester as follows:-

December 1, Whyke Area: Cherry Orchard Road, Bramber Road, Garland Close, Exton Road, Hay Road, Whyke Marsh, Tavener Place, Mumford Close, Dalloway Road, Eastland Road, Kingsham Avenue.

December 2, Fishbourne: Caspian Close, Clay lane, Cuckoo Fields, Salthill Road, Mosse Gardens, Deeside Avenue, Newport Drive, Frampton Close, Blackboy Lane.

December 5, East Broyle: Little Breach, Carlisle Gardens, Cloucester Way, Lincoln Green, Truro Close, Rochester Close, Durham Gardens, Hereford Close, Salisbury Way, Guildford Place, York Chase, Bristol Gardens, Worcester Road, Wells Crescent, Exeter Road, Norwich Road, Winchester Drive.
