Mary’s Meals is an international aid charity that has its global headquarters in a rural barn in Scotland.

They provide over 1.2 million nutritious school lunches to the world’s hungriest children.

The meals are always served in a place of education which means that the children are nourished as they learn in order to build themselves a brighter future.

Mary’s Meals can provide one child in a developing country with a school lunch for one year for just £13.90.

At Chatsmore students held cake sales, sponsored events and gave their own money to support this important work.

The school had an original target of £1,390 (feeding 100 children for a year) but smashed it and raised £2059.56 thanks to the generosity of the whole school community.

The next fundraising campaign starts on the June 19.

The fundraising efforts will finish with the whole school taking part in a seven mile charity walk along Worthing sea front on the July 21.
